Caregiving is one of the most rewarding services we can provide to anyone.  First, I cared for my Mom who was legally blind.  She was in a facility but I needed to be there every single day because there was not enough help to care for her.  The help did not know how to address someone who could not see very well.  Mom passed from a horrible, avoidable accident at an assisted living facility.

During this time, her sister (my Aunt) also needed some help. Now, I am caring for my Aunt in her home, not a facility.
A year or two ago I became aware of technology that used passive monitoring to help keep my Aunt safe in her home.  I purchased this technology and have been using it . . . It is “a caregivers best friend”.

Along with classes in dementia, I earned my Senior Home Safety Advisor credential to insure that homes would be as safe as possible.

Seniors are most happy when they can be in their own homes just like we are!

Along with a main caregiver and others, seniors can ‘age in their homes’.  This just takes some effort on the part of family members, friends and others to help them remain at home.

I wanted to share this information and gather more information to help our seniors and any others remain safely in their homes so I decided to start “Happier At Home”.

So, I now have this special purpose in my life!
